DNC Being sued by Field Workers for Overtime

The DNC is facing a class-action lawsuit over the failure to pay overtime.  In various states, field workers are suing the DNC and state Democratic parties, on the grounds that their 80-90 hour work week qualifies them for overtime.  The Field workers agreed salary was $2,500-$3,000 per month, however during the heat of the campaign they work long hours.

The lawsuit claims the lack of overtime pay violated labor laws, and many anti-establishment Democrats agree with the plaintiffs.  “There is no question that campaign organizers performing the duties described in the lawsuit are not Exempt from overtime provisions of the FLSA,” said progressive writer Amy Sterling.  This lawsuit adds to another DNC lawsuit over their fraudulent primary process, and the donations they accepted, for that process.
