Retired NYPD officer Michael Rizzi was sentenced to 15 months in prison for running 58 escort service websites. The retired officer pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to launder, and he forfeited over $120,247 in cash, despite reportedly making millions of dollars.
Rizzi operated a prostitution service under the name BJM/Manhattan Stakes and Entertainment, which arranged appointments on dozens of websites, between prostitutes and customers, as well as drivers who collected cash and receipts from BJM’s prostitutes.
BJM received millions in payments, including over $2 million in credit card payments between October 2012 and March 2016. And court documents read that typical appointment with an escort cost between $400 and $2,000 per hour, though longer dates were occasionally booked at $7,200 for 12 hours or $8,400 for 13 hours.
